Hybrid Control Strategy for DAB-LLC Sigma Converter

2021 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Power Electronics for Distributed Generation Systems (PEDG), 2021
DAB-LLC sigma converter has been an attractive topology, which combines the high efficiency of LLC and the high controllability of DAB. However, traditional PI controller manages output voltage/power by adjusting the phase shift angle of DAB and allows LLC to operate in an open loop mode, which leads to poor transient response.

Parameter Identification of the Series Inductance in DAB Converters

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2021
This letter presents a parameter identification of the series inductance in dual active converter. In the optimized modulation strategies and feedforward control, the series inductance is a key parameter to determine the performance of the converter.

Comparison between full-bridge-forward converter and DAB converter

2013 Brazilian Power Electronics Conference, 2013
This paper analyzes and compares the dual active bridge (DAB) converter and the full-bridge-forward integrated DC-DC converter when applied to a microgrid energy storage bidirectional system that demands high power flow at the discharging operation mode and low power flow at the charging operation mode.

Robust LMI-LQR Control for DAB Converters

2018 IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES), 2018
A consistent framework for robust linear quadratic regulators (LQRs) control of Dual-Active-Bridge Isolated-Bidirectional DC-DC (DAB-IBDC) converters is presented. The conventional LQR controllers are effective with respect to a certain performance index and have a good performance in stability.

Design characteristics of SAB and DAB converters

2015 Intl Aegean Conference on Electrical Machines & Power Electronics (ACEMP), 2015 Intl Conference on Optimization of Electrical & Electronic Equipment (OPTIM) & 2015 Intl Symposium on Advanced Electromechanical Motion Systems (ELECTROMOTION), 2015
High-frequency isolated DC-DC converters are gaining momentum in applications where the demand of isolation matches with that one of compact and light equipment. A seminal topology, constituted by two bridges operating at high frequency and coupled by a transformer, has emerged as an attractive solution that fulfills the above-mentioned demands.

Soft-switching capabilities of SAB vs. DAB converters

IECON 2015 - 41st Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2015
The paper is concerned with the soft-switching capabilities of the Single Active Bridge (SAB) converter. At first, soft-switching of the double active bridge converter is reviewed. Then, operation of the SAB converter is investigated with the end of assessing its soft-switching capabilities in both the discontinuous and continuous conduction mode.

Parameter identification for dual-phase shift modulated DAB converters

Journal of Power Electronics, 2021
Deadbeat control is an effective method for controlling the output voltage of dual active bridge converters. However, its effectiveness depends on the model parameter accuracy. In practice, the model parameters of dual active bridge converters vary depending on the operation conditions, manufacturing tolerances, and calendar aging.

Application of Random PWM Technology in DAB Converter

2018 IEEE International Power Electronics and Application Conference and Exposition (PEAC), 2018
For dual-active-bridge (DAB) DC/DC converter, when conventional pulse width modulation (PWM) is used, large harmonics are generated at the switching frequency and frequency multiplication, resulting in conductive electromagnetic interference (EMI). The random PWM technology can improve the electromagnetic compatibility of the system by dispersing the ...
