Seedling leaves allocate lower fractions of nitrogen to photosynthetic apparatus in nitrogen fixing trees than in non-nitrogen fixing trees in subtropical China.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
Photosynthetic-nitrogen use efficiency (PNUE) is a useful trait to characterize leaf physiology and survival strategy. PNUE can also be considered as part of 'leaf economics spectrum' interrelated with leaf nutrient concentrations, photosynthesis and ...

Potassium silicate combined with glycine betaine improved salt tolerance in Dalbergia odorifera

open access: yesBiologia Plantarum, 2021
Salinity has a huge negative impact on plant growth and development by increasing sodium ions accumulation and potassium ions loss that deeply disturbs the plant cell homeostasis and can lead to plant cell death. The imbalance between Na+ and K+ could be

Corrosion Inhibition Effect of 2‐([(1E)‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)methylene]amino) Benzoic Acid on Nickel in Sulfuric Acid: Electrochemical, Charge‐Discharge and Computational Studies

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 12, Issue 5, March 3, 2025.
The study explores the corrosion resistance of nickel in sulfuric acid. By using electrochemical tests, the inhibitory effect of H2L was investigated. Results indicate enhanced corrosion resistance with H2L, showing maximum efficiency (η=97.8 %) at 1×10‐5 M concentration and 25 °C. Charge discharge studies for Ni metal were performed.
