Condition Indicators for Gearbox Condition Monitoring Systems

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2005
Condition monitoring systems for manual transmissions based on vibration diagnostics are widely applied in industry. The systems deal with various condition indicators, most of which are focused on a specific type of gearbox fault.

Recognition of Damage Degree of Tooth Root Crack based on PCA and Grey Relational

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2020
In the aspect of root crack fault detection, the severity of damage can be compared by cepstrum analysis, but it is impossible to quantify the extent of damage.

Towards Validating Risk Indicators Based on Measurement Theory (Extended version) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Due to the lack of quantitative information and for cost-efficiency, most risk assessment methods use partially ordered values (e.g. high, medium, low) as risk indicators.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Stiffness-Based Evaluation of Hinge Joints in Prefabricated Assembled Multi-Girder Bridges under Operational Conditions

open access: yesSensors
Presently, the prevailing approaches to assessing hinge joint damage predominantly rely on predefined damage indicators or updating finite element models (FEMs). However, these methods possess certain limitations.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Research on health monitoring of concrete structure based on G-S-G

open access: yesScientific Reports
An improved concrete structure health monitoring method based on G-S-G is proposed, which fully combines an optimized Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) with an improved Self-Organizing Map (SOM) neural network to achieve accurate and real-time ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...
