Analysis of Displacement Influence Line Characteristics of Simply Supported Beam with Local Damage
Advanced Materials Research, 2014According to energy principle, the influence line equation for displacement at any point of simply supported beam with local damage was derived. Based on the load symmetry positions’ difference of influence line for displacement at midspan point, a index that detects the local damage of simply supported beam without initial data was proposed.

Practice Periodical on Structural Design and Construction, 2013
This research investigated flexural behavior of repaired RC beams that experienced simulated lateral damage to replicate vehicle impact/collision. The experimental program included the testing of 34 RC beams, which were laterally damaged and then repaired using carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) fabrics.

Study on Damage Identification of Simply Supported-Beam Based on Modal Strain Energy Method
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014In present study, ANSYS finite element method was utilized to analyze the modal of simply supported beam and then the study on damage identification was performed based on modal strain energy method. The comparative analysis of results obtained by modal strain energy changes rate method and modal strain energy index demonstrates that modal strain ...

Crack Damage Identification of Reinforced Concrete Simply Supported Beam Based on BP Neural Network
Advanced Materials Research, 2012Considering the good forecasting capability of BP neural network, a new crack damage identification method for reinforced concrete simply supported beam is proposed in this paper. After simulating the crack damage of a reinforced concrete simply supported beam, the natural frequency of the beam is chosen as the input parameters of the BP neural network.

A new signal reconstruction is proposed for damage detection on a simply supported beam using multiple measurements of displacement induced by a moving sprung mass. The new signal is constructed from the difference between the spatially integrated deflection for the intact (baseline) and damaged beams under quasi-static loading.

Damage Detection of Simply Supported Beam under Effect of Moving Load by Hilbert-Huang Transform
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) is a signal processing technique is relatively strong and effective today, to overcome the limitations of the used techniques have been widely used as traditional Fourier transform or Wavelet transform. Hilbert-Huang transform can handle effectively nonstationary and nonlinear signal.

Abstract For damage detection of railway tracks, a two-axle test vehicle is better than a single-axle vehicle due to its capability of self standing and stability. This paper presents a new, comprehensive theoretical framework for a two-axle test vehicle moving over railway tracks modeled as a simply supported beam with elastic foundation.

Application of Neural Operator for Damage Identification of a Simply Supported Beam
IABSE Reports<p>This study presents the Modal-Stiffness Fourier Neural Operator (MS-FNO), a novel data-driven model for damage localization and quantification in structural health monitoring (SHM). The MS- FNO leverages modal shape response data to predict stiffness loss distributions. Validated on both numerical (NUM-Set) and experimental (EXP-Set) datasets,

Damage Detection in Simply Supported Beam Using Transmissibility and Auto-Associative Neural Network
2018The first two steps in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) are to detect and localize damage in a structure. Transmissibility uses only output signals to extract the structural dynamic parameter and very sensitive to damage. In this paper, a simply supported beam is analyzed using a transmissibility-based damage detection methodology combined with Auto ...
