Numerical Analysis of a Mechanical Wave Damping in the Rubber-Concrete Composite using the Adina Software

open access: yes, 2016
This paper presents numerical analysis concerning a rubber-concrete composite which can be considered as a structural element designed to form walls. Structural elements that carry the compressive load have a rubber with a specific shape embedded during ...

Designed Lewis Acid–Base Passivation for High Performance Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Silicon's high cost and long energy payback time remain major barriers to the global expansion of solar power. In contrast, metal–halide perovskites offer abundant, solution‐processable absorbers, and have achieved efficiencies of 25%–30%, positioning them as strong competitors to silicon.

Pull‐and‐Push Nanotherapeutic Hydrogels: Scavenging Inflammatory Triggers While Driving Tissue Regeneration in Burn Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A nanounit‐assembled hydrogel employing a “pull‐and‐push” strategy simultaneously scavenges pro‐inflammatory cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and delivers regenerative therapeutics in response to burn‐induced hyperthermia. By repolarizing macrophages and promoting angiogenesis, this multifunctional platform accelerates burn wound healing, offering a blueprint for

Interlayer Expansion of Bulk MoS2 via Top‐Down Organic Pillaring Enables Tunable Li+ Intercalation and Controlled Solvent Co‐Intercalation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Top‐down organic pillaring expands the interlayer spacing of bulk‐sized MoS2 particles while preserving the bulk morphology. Operando X‐ray diffraction and electrochemical dilatometry show that MoS2‐bulk undergoes solvent co‐intercalation in diglyme electrolyte, causing large structural expansion, while pillared, expanded MoS2 suppresses solvent uptake

Microstructure and Damping Property of Polyurethane Composites Hybridized with Ultraviolet Absorbents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This article investigated the microstructure and damping property of TPU composites with different contents of ultraviolet absorbents. It can be found that the ultraviolet absorbents formed fiber-shaped precipitations in the TPU matrix.

Energy decay of a variable-coefficient wave equation with nonlinear time-dependent localized damping

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2015
We study the energy decay for the Cauchy problem of the wave equation with nonlinear time-dependent and space-dependent damping. The damping is localized in a bounded domain and near infinity, and the principal part of the wave equation has a variable-

Vibrational damping behaviors of graphene nanoplatelets reinforced NR/EPDM nanocomposites

open access: yesJournal of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences, 2017
Vibrational damping behaviors of graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) reinforced natural rubber/ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (NR/EPDM) were investigated. The nanocomposites were prepared through melt compounding using a Haake internal mixer.
