Use of Restricted Nursing and a Bovine Appeasing Substance on the Welfare, Growth Performance, and Response to Vaccination of Beef Calves at Weaning

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
The effects of restricted nursing (RN) and the administration of a bovine appeasing substance (BAS) on days −8 and 0 in relation to weaning were evaluated. Follicle Stimulating Hormone in Cattle Breeding: Fundamentals, Innovations, and Scope

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
FSH is crucial in cattle reproduction, with exogenous administration enhancing breeding and embryo production. Recombinant FSH offers advantages over pituitary‐extracted variants, including fewer injections, reduced stress, and safer production. These innovations improve breeding efficiency, optimize reproductive outcomes, and contribute to sustainable

Seismic response of earthfill and rockfill embankment dams [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The seismic design of earthfill and rockfill dams routinely relies on methods of analysis, which adopt simplifying assumptions regardingthe damgeometry, soil behaviour and the dynamic interaction of the fluid and solid phases
