Knee Joint Proprioception in Ballet Dancers and Non-dancers
Journal of Dance Medicine & Science, 2014The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of upper-leg muscle fatigue on knee joint proprioception in 13 ballet dancers and 13 non-dancer controls. Proprioception acuity, expressed as position and motion sense, was measured with an isokinetic dynamometer.

Belly dancer's dyskinesia is an unusual type of focal dyskinesia characterized by writhing contortions and other jerky movements of the abdominal wall, resulting in multidirectional movement of the umbilicus, reminiscent of the movements of a belly dancer. This review examines the clinical spectrum of belly dancer's dyskinesia.
