Repair and regeneration in a giant danio (danio aequipinnatus) model of heart Injury
We have studied the characteristics of the heart in the adult Giant danio (Danio aequipinnatus), the wound repair response and the ability to regenerate following cautery injury. Electron microscopy studies revealed cardiac myocyte ultrastructure and organization similar to that observed in the zebrafish (Danio

Dynamic expression of lamin B1 during adult neurogenesis in the vertebrate brain
Abstract Background In mammals, specific brain regions such as the dentate gyrus (DG) of the hippocampus and the subventricular zone (SVZ) of the lateral ventricles harbor adult neural stem/progenitor cells (ANSPCs) that give rise to new neurons and contribute to structural and functional brain plasticity.

Danio aesculapii, a new species of danio from south-western Myanmar (Teleostei: Cyprinidae)
Danio aesculapii, new species, is described from small rivers on the western slope of the Rakhine Yoma in south-western Myanmar. It is superficially similar to D. choprae from northern Myanmar in having a series of vertical bars anteriorly on the side, but differs from it and other species of Danio in having six instead of seven or more branched dorsal-

Abstract Background The endocannabinoid system is a neuromodulatory system implicated in cellular processes during both development and regeneration. The Mexican axolotl, one of only a few vertebrates capable of central nervous system regeneration, was used to examine the role of the endocannabinoid system in the regeneration of the tail and spinal ...

Abstract Background Mutations in cohesins cause cohesinopathies such as Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) and Roberts Syndrome (RBS). Prior findings demonstrate that Esco2 (a cohesin activator) and Smc3 (a core cohesin subunit) regulate the CRL4 E3 ubiquitin ligase. SMC3 mutations, however, account for a small percentage of CdLS.

Effect of Enriched Feed by n-3 fatty acids and 2% of n-6 fatty acid on Danio rerio Reproduction
This experiment was conducted to determine the optimum n-3 fatty acid level in the diet containing 2 % of n-6 fatty acid on the reproductive performance of zebra fish (Danio rerio). There experimental diets containing 0.0; 1.0; 1.5 % n-3 fatty acid with

Abstract Background Gene transcription is crucial for embryo and postnatal development and is regulated by the Mediator complex. Mediator is comprised of four submodules, including the kinase submodule (CKM). The CKM consists of MED13, MED12, CDK8, and CCNC.
