On The Darboux Frame Motion of a Developable Surface

2021
Developable ruled surfaces and the rotation-minimizing frames (RMF) have a crucial importance in computer-aided geometric design (CAGD) because of being unfoldable (developable) into a plane without distortion. Also, the RMF of curves are generally used in computer graphics.

Darboux frames, snakes, and super-quadrics: geometry from the bottom-up

[1989] Proceedings. Workshop on Interpretation of 3D Scenes, 1993
A representational and a computational model for deriving 3-D articulated volumetric descriptions of objects from laser rangefinder data is described. This method is purely bottom up: it relies on general assumptions cast in terms of differential geometry.

Canonical Decomposition of the Instantaneous Kinematics of Darboux Frame

2020
This paper gives a screw theoretic insight into the instantaneous kinematics of the Darboux frame (D-frame) moving on a smooth surface. It is established that the velocity state of D-frame is described by a three screw system. The principal screws of this system depend only upon the local shape of the surface.

Estimating the principal curvatures and the Darboux frame from real 3D range data

Proceedings. First International Symposium on 3D Data Processing Visualization and Transmission, 2002
Principal curvatures and the local Darboux frame are natural tools to be used during processes which involve extraction of geometric properties from three-dimensional (3-D) range data. As second-order features their estimations are highly sensitive to noise and therefore, until recent years, it was almost impractical to extract reliable results from ...

Estimating curvatures and the Darboux frame from unorganised noisy point cloud

International Journal of Materials and Product Technology, 2008
Curvatures and the Darboux frame are useful tools for surface classification and 3D object recognition. However, it is still challenging for estimating these features on unorganised noisy points. A method is proposed to calculate these features from a general quadric surface fitted at each point.

Special Curves According to Extended Darboux Frame Field in 𝔼𝟏 𝟒

2021
In this study, the involute of a curve is investigated in Minkowski space-time by using extended Darboux frame fieldand curves of the AW (k) type are studied in Minkowski space-time.

On The Parallel Ruled Surfaces With B-Darboux Frame

In this work, the geometric properties of parallel ruled surfaces associated with the B-Darboux frame (BDF) in $E%%TCIMACRO{\U{b3}}%%BeginExpansion{{}^3}%%EndExpansion$ are introduced. Firstly, these surfaces are presented, and their main characteristic properties, such as developability, stress points and dispersion parameter, are analyzed.

Darboux Vector and Stress Analysis of Equi-Affine Frame

2018
A set of points that corresponds a vector of vector space constructed on a field is called an affine space associate with that vector space. We denote as affine 3-space A3 associated with IR3.The first written sources that can be achieved about affine space curve theory are based on the 1890's when Ernesto Ces\`{a}ro and Die Schon von Pirondini ...
