Generalized Darcy’s Law in Filtration Theory [PDF]
We study the hydrodynamics of flow in a porous medium modeling the grain filling in filters. Using the lattice approximation, we derive the structure of the current in porous media and obtain the transverse diffusion coefficient D which proves to be ...

Advances in Flow of Water Through Variably Saturated Soils: A Review of Model Approaches and Experimental Investigations with Use of Sensors [PDF]
The study of the flow of water through soils is important and has applications in many fields such as irrigation in agriculture, engineering, hydrogeology, and earth sciences. Many research efforts have been focused on different aspects of the subject of

Darcy’s Law with a Source Term [PDF]
We introduce a novel variant of the JKO scheme to approximate Darcy's law with a pressure dependent source term. By introducing a new variable that implicitly controls the source term, our scheme is still able to use the standard Wasserstein-2-metric even though the total mass changes over time.

Comparison of the water movement by Richard and Darcy
Simulations of water movement in the soil are pervasive, Darcy’s law, Darcy- Buckingham’s law and Richard’s equation are all approved equations for this purpose.

A Mechanical Picture of Fractal Darcy’s Law
The main goal of this manuscript is to generalize Darcy’s law from conventional calculus to fractal calculus in order to quantify the fluid flow in subterranean heterogeneous reservoirs.

DARCY-AND PORE-SCALE ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH MULTI-PHASE FLUID FLOW THROUGH A PETROLEUM RESERVOIR [PDF]
This manuscript primarily focuses on the constraints associated with the extended version of Darcy’s law that is used to describe the multiphase flow through a porous media; and in particular, a petroleum reservoir. This manuscript clearly brings out the

Due to the complexity imposed by all the attributes of the fracture network of many naturally fractured reservoirs, it has been observed that fluid flow does not necessarily represent a normal diffusion, i.e., Darcy’s law.

An analytical solution for moisture dynamic during freeze-drying based in non-ideal Darcy’s law that resolves the singularity at zero time was deducted. The non-ideal Darcy’s law is represented by a Darcy’s pseudo permeability ($${K^*}$$) and a deviation

Multiscale Numerical Modeling of Solute Transport with Two-Phase Flow in a Porous Cavity [PDF]
This paper introduces dimensional and numerical investigation of the problem of solute transport within the two-phase flow in a porous cavity. The model consists of momentum equations (Darcy’s law), mass (saturation) equation, and solute transport ...

The Darcy-Forchheimer law for modelling fluid flow in biological tissues [PDF]
The motion of the interstitial uid of a biological tissue is studied by employing the Darcy-Forchheimer law, a correction to standard Darcy's law. The tissue is modelled as a saturated biphasic medium comprising the fluid and a deformable matrix.
