Stability analysis of seepage slope based on Darcy’s law
In order to study the influence of long-term rainfall on the southern slope of an open-pit coal mine in Xinjiang, and the variation of pore water pressure in the slope at different periods after rainfall, Darcy’s law and Van Genuchten model and ...

Various mechanisms are employed to interpret the low water recovery during the shale-gas production period, such as extra-trapped water in the fracture network, water imbibition due to osmotic pressure and capillary pressure. These lead to the difficulty

The mathematical model of gas flowing in porous medium based on the homogenization method [PDF]
Considered the characteristics of porous medium in the coal seam and goaf, in order to reflect the accurately influence of various porous media against the gas flow, the mathematical model of discrete multi-scale network and macroscopic flow, CFCM (Coal ...

While bacterial swarms can exhibit active turbulence in vacant spaces, they naturally inhabit crowded environments. We numerically show that driving disorderly active fluids through porous media enhances Darcy’s law. While purely active flows average to zero flux, hybrid active/driven flows display greater drift than purely pressure-driven flows.

Laws of Gas Diffusion in Coal Particles: A Study Based on Experiment and Numerical Simulation
In order to research on the law of methane released through the pore in coal particles, the methane desorption experiments were conducted, respectively, on four types of particle size of coal samples under three different initial adsorption pressures ...

Darcy’s Law for Yield Stress Fluids [PDF]
Predicting the flow of non-Newtonian fluids in porous structure is still a challenging issue due to the interplay betwen the microscopic disorder and the non-linear rheology. In this letter, we study the case of an yield stress fluid in a two-dimensional structure.

Characterization of a Non-Darcy Flow and Development of New Correlation of NON-Darcy Coefficient
Darcy’s law has long been used to describe the flow in porous media. Despite the progress that took place in oil production industry research, it became clear that there is a loss of pressure, especially in the area near the wellbore region, where Darcy ...
