The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

This article reviews research on two contrasting groups of personality traits – from the so-called light triad (including faith in humanity, humanism, and Kantianism) to the so-called Dark Tetrad (including Machiavellianism, narcissism, psychopathy, and ...

Politics and Biology: The Dark Tetrad and Darkness at Noon
This paper describes methodological and theoretical problematics in creating knowledge about the relations between politics and biology. These problematics are cited from philosophy and philosophy of science, critical theory, and scientific method(s). The case of politics characterized by the dark tetrad – narcissism, psychopathy, Machiavellianism, and

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Dark traits from the variable-centered and person-centered approach and their relations with some risky behaviours [PDF]
The aim of this research was to determine whether the person-centered or the variable-centered approach is better at describing the covariance between the Dark Triad and Dark Tetrad traits in the community sample. On the sample of 624 participants (48.2%

Spherically Symmetric Solutions in Macroscopic Gravity
Schwarzschild's solution to the Einstein Field Equations was one of the first and most important solutions that lead to the understanding and important experimental tests of Einstein's theory of General Relativity.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Explicit expressions for optical scalars in gravitational lensing from general matter sources
We present explicit expressions for the optical scalars and the deection angle in terms of the energymomentum tensor components of matter distributions.

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Schwarzschild solution in extended teleparallel gravity
Tetrad field, with two unknown functions of radial coordinate and an angle $\Phi$ which is the polar angle $\phi$ times a function of the redial coordinate, is applied to the field equation of modified theory of gravity.
