Determination of Prevalence and Reservoir Weed Species of Tomato spotted wilt tospovirus-TSWV on Peppers Grown in Greenhouses in Kumluca District of Antalya, Turkey

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Agriculture: Food Science and Technology, 2021
There are many viruses that infect pepper and limit its production. Among these viruses, Tomato spotted wilt tospovirus (TSWV) infects crops in 35 plant families that are economically important, including pepper.

Survey of Potato Viral Infection Using Das-Elisa Method in Georgia

open access: yes, 2018
Plant viruses can cause loss of yield and quality in a lot of important crops. Symptoms of pathogens are variable depending on the cultivars and virus strain. Selection of resistant potato varieties would reduce the risk of virus transmission and significant economic impact.

Detection of Bean Common Mosaic Virus in Bean Seeds by Immunocapture RT-PCR and DAS-ELISA Methods

open access: yesSinop Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Dergisi, 2022
This study was carried out in bean seeds in Isparta and Antalya provinces to determine Bean common mosaic virus (BCMV) in 2016. For this purpose; 106 seed samples were collected from the research area. Seed samples were used for biological, serological, and molecular methods. The virus incidence, as a percentage of seeds samples for BCMV, was found 87.

Clinical Course and Impact of Breaks in Therapy for Children With Relapsed/Refractory Solid Tumors

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pediatric relapsed or refractory (R/R) solid tumors carry a dismal prognosis, and postrelapse patient experiences are not well described. We present postrelapse outcomes, including number of R/R events and subsequent therapy regimens.

Detection of Narcissus Latent Virus Isolates Using One-Step Rt-Pcr Assay

open access: yesJournal of Horticultural Research, 2013
A one-step RT-PCR procedure was developed for specific detection of Narcissus latent virus (NLV) isolates. Following alignment of RNA sequences of three NLV isolates, the conserved sequence fragments were identified in viral polyprotein gene and 3’UTR ...

Presence and molecular characterization of cucumber mosaic virus on safflower in Serbia [PDF]

open access: yesRatarstvo i Povrtarstvo, 2020
Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) is an important oilseed crop belonging to the family Asteraceae. A total of 46 safflower samples were collected from Srbobran locality (South Bačka District) in Serbia in 2015 and analysed for the presence of cucumber ...

PMMoV-disease risk assessment using a DAS-ELISA of soil from green pepper fields.

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Phytopathology, 2012
Pepper mild mottle virus (PMMoV) in the soil can be detected by double antibody sandwich enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (DAS-ELISA) (Ikegashira et al., 2004) with great sensitivity. A PMMoV-disease risk assessment system, based on DAS-ELISA measurements of the virus in field soils, was developed to obtain a better understanding of PMMoV ...

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
