Bacterial Colony Optimization for Data Clustering
2019 IEEE International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT), 2019Clustering is the process of the grouping object in a given data objects based on their similarity between data objects. The swarm intelligent based clustering algorithms are generally stochastic search techniques that followed by the morality of cooperative behavior and self organization of an insect group.

Basic data standards for primate colonies
American Journal of Primatology, 1993AbstractA set of simple standards has been developed to ease the task of transferring primate colony data between institutions and computers, and to assure that colony vital statistics are appropriate for demographic and genetic analyses. The standards have been designed to be easily and inexpensively implemented from existing databases, and also may ...

Ant Colony Algorithms for Data Learning
International Journal of Applied Evolutionary Computation, 2013Fuzzy Ant-Miner algorithm processes data with nominal class and has the disadvantage of not treating the data with continuous class. In this paper, after presenting the Fuzzy Ant Miner algorithm, the authors propose a new learning method to partition heterogeneous data with continuous class.

Ant Colony Algorithms for Data Classification
2009Ant colony optimization (ACO) is a relatively new computational intelligence paradigm inspired by the behavior of natural ants (Dorigo & Stutzle, 2004). Ants often find the shortest path between a food source and the nest of the colony without using visual information.

Ant Colony Optimization and Data Mining
2011The Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) technique was inspired by the ants’ behavior throughout their exploration for food. In nature, ants wander randomly, seeking for food. After succeeding, they return to their nest. During their move, they lay down pheromone that forms an evaporating chemical path.

Improved ant colony algorithms for data classification
2012 IEEE International Conference on Complex Systems (ICCS), 2012In this paper we propose an extension of classification algorithm based on ant colony algorithms to obtain rules from data. Continuous attributes are handled by using the concepts of fuzzy logic. The ant colony algorithms transform continuous attributes into nominal attributes by creating clenched discrete intervals.

Artificial bee colony data miner (ABC-Miner)
2011 International Symposium on Innovations in Intelligent Systems and Applications, 2011Data mining aims to discover interesting, non-trivial, and meaningful information from large datasets. One of the data mining tasks is classification, which aims to assign the given datasets to the most suitable classes. Classification rules are used in many domains such as medical sciences, banking, and meteorology. However, discovering classification

Digital Colonialism and Inequality represent a new front of global power, in which control over technology and data reinforces inequalities between nations and populations. The rapid expansion of digital technologies has brought about an uneven access to, and use of, knowledge and resources, predominantly benefiting a privileged minority at the expense

Enhancing data parallelism for Ant Colony Optimization on GPUs
Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, 2013Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) have evolved into highly parallel and fully programmable architecture over the past five years, and the advent of CUDA has facilitated their application to many real-world applications. In this paper, we deal with a GPU implementation of Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), a population-based optimization method which ...
