PDB Data Curation

2006 International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2006
In this paper, we propose two architectures for curating PDB data to improve its quality. The first one, PDB Data Curation System, is developed by adding two parts, Checking Filter and Curation Engine, between User Interface and Database. This architecture supports the basic PDB data curation.

Big data curation framework: Curation actions and challenges

Journal of Information Science, 2022
Big data curation represents an emerging topic of inquiry but still in an early phase along its adoption curve. The term big data itself is a nebulous concept, and the differences between small data curation and big data curation are nuanced. The goal of this research is to provide a theoretical framework that identifies big data curation actions and ...

IRTA Data Curation Checklist for Curators

2023
The Data Curation Checklist for curators is a practical guide for data curators to ensure that all datasets submitted to multidisciplinary repositories are consistent to be shared and reproduced following the FAIR practices. This work document follows the data curation best practices from DCN CURATED Steps (produced by Data Curation Network).

Automatically Curated Data Sets

2019 19th International Working Conference on Source Code Analysis and Manipulation (SCAM), 2019
o validate hypotheses and tools that depend on the semantics of software, it is necessary to assemble, prepare and maintain (i.e. curate) large, high-quality corpora of executable software systems exhibiting certain desired behavior and/or properties. Today this is a highly tedious and laborious activity requiring significant human time and effort.

CrowdCorrect: A Curation Pipeline for Social Data Cleansing and Curation

2018
Process and data are equally important for business process management. Data-driven approaches in process analytics aims to value decisions that can be backed up with verifiable private and open data. Over the last few years, data-driven analysis of how knowledge workers and customers interact in social contexts, often with data obtained from social ...

The Importance of Data Curation

2017
The long-term value of data can be dramatically affected, for better or worse, by how well those data are curated. Unfortunately, many valuable datasets are poorly curated, which contributes to errors, redundant effort, and obstacles to replication..
