A novel iterative process for numerical reckoning of fixed points via generalized nonlinear mappings with qualitative study

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
This manuscript is devoted to constructing a novel iterative scheme and reckoning of fixed points for generalized contraction mappings in hyperbolic spaces.

Dependence measure for length-biased survival data using copulas

open access: yesDependence Modeling, 2019
The linear correlation coefficient of Bravais-Pearson is considered a powerful indicator when the dependency relationship is linear and the error variate is normally distributed.

SPACE-TIME LAGS: SPECIFICATION STRATEGY IN SPATIAL REGRESSION MODELS [PDF]

open access: yes
he purpose of this article is to analyse the dynamic trend of spatial dependence, which is not only contemporary but time-lagged in many socio-economic phenomena.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

A New Fixed Point Iterative Scheme Applied to the Dynamics of an Ebola Delayed Epidemic Model

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we introduce a fast iterative scheme and establish its convergence under a contractive condition. This new scheme can be viewed as an extension and generalization of existing iterative schemes such as Picard–Noor and UO iterative schemes ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Integrating screening and management of mental disorders, including substance use disorders into other non-communicable disease care: insights from theory-informed implementation strategies creation for implementation model M0 in Faridabad, India as part of ICMR-MINDS project

open access: yesFrontiers in Health Services
BackgroundMental disorders, including substance use disorders (MSUD) frequently co-occur with other Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). This leads to increased morbidity, premature mortality, and reduced quality of life.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Testing for Dependence in Non-Gaussian Time Series Data [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper provides a general methodology for testing for dependence in time series data, with particular emphasis given to non-Gaussian data. A dynamic model is postulated for a continuous latent variable and the dynamic structure transferred to the non-
