This work reveals the phase composition and quantitative morphology analysis of precipitation‐hardened Fe32Cu12Ni11Ti16Al29 complex‐concentrated alloy. The precipitates are shown to have a high coherency. Morphology transition between sphere, cuboidal, and elongated morphology is observed. Finally, the overaging behavior is captured using microhardness.

A note on the performance analysis of static locking in distributed database systems [PDF]
Even though transaction deadlocks can severely affect the performance of distributed database systems, many current evaluation techniques ignore this aspect. Shyu and Li proposed an evaluation method which takes deadlocks into consideration.

Compacting Transactional Data in Hybrid OLTP & OLAP Databases [PDF]
Growing main memory sizes have facilitated database management systems that keep the entire database in main memory. The drastic performance improvements that came along with these in-memory systems have made it possible to reunite the two areas of online transaction processing (OLTP) and online analytical processing (OLAP): An emerging class of hybrid

A simulative evaluation of triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) structures for an elastocaloric application under compressive load is performed. For the evaluation of the structure's performance, surface/volume ratio, generated heat and invested mechanical work are taken into account and are compared to a tube as a reference specimen.

Performance analysis of static locking in replicated distributed database systems [PDF]
Data replication and transaction deadlocks can severely affect the performance of distributed database systems. Many current evaluation techniques ignore these aspects, because it is difficult to evaluate through analysis and time consuming to evaluate ...

Comparative Study of Experimental Methods for Measuring Thermal Properties of 100Cr6 Steel Powders
This study investigates the thermal properties of 100Cr6 steel in both bulk and powder forms. Measuring the very low thermal conductivity typically exhibited by powders poses significant challenges. To address this, two novel measurement techniques—temperature gradient and finite laser pulse response—are introduced and evaluated by comparison with the ...

SLSM : An Efficient Strategy for Lazy Schema Migration on Shared-Nothing Databases [PDF]
By introducing intermediate states for metadata changes and ensuring that at most two versions of metadata exist in the cluster at the same time, shared-nothing databases are capable of making online, asynchronous schema changes. However, this method leads to delays in the deployment of new schemas since it requires waiting for massive data backfill ...
