Daucus carota L. – An old model for cell reprogramming gains new importance through a novel expansion pattern of alternative oxidase (AOX) genes [PDF]
The paper highlights Daucus carota L. as an ideal model to complement plant stress research on Arabidopsis thaliana L. Recently, alternative oxidase (AOX) is discussed as functional marker candidate for cell reprogramming upon stress.

Comprehensive understanding of how diverse PGPR strains enhance the rhizosphere microenvironment remains a considerable challenge. Here, we provide experimental evidence that a functionally synergistic composite microbial formulation can markedly enhance growth performance and improve the quality attributes in Angelica sinensis.

The effect of seed moisture content and hot water treatment on carrot seed viability and Alternaria radicina control [PDF]
Hot water treatment of seeds to control seedborne pathogens is an important tool for organic seed production. Reducing seed moisture content may have the potential to increase carrot (Daucus carota L. var. sativus D.C.) seed tolerance to treatment.
