Identifying the consequences of dynamic treatment strategies: A decision-theoretic overview
We consider the problem of learning about and comparing the consequences of dynamic treatment strategies on the basis of observational data. We formulate this within a probabilistic decision-theoretic framework. Our approach is compared with related work

Discussion of "On the Birnbaum Argument for the Strong Likelihood Principle"
Deborah Mayo claims to have refuted Birnbaum's argument that the Likelihood Principle is a logical consequence of the Sufficiency and Conditionality Principles.

On the Intersection Property of Conditional Independence and its Application to Causal Discovery [PDF]
This work investigates the intersection property of conditional independence. It states that for random variables $A,B,C$ and $X$ we have that $X$ independent of $A$ given $B,C$ and $X$ independent of $B$ given $A,C$ implies $X$ independent of $(A,B ...

Quantitative Imaging of Pyruvate Metabolism in a Patient With Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer
ABSTRACT Purpose Magnetic resonance imaging using hyperpolarized (HP) [1‐13C]‐pyruvate enables assessment of pyruvate metabolism in vivo and offers new insight into metabolic changes in response to cancer therapy. Widely used semi‐quantitative metrics of pyruvate metabolism can be affected by physiological factors that are extrinsic to intracellular ...

A Bayes factor framework for unified parameter estimation and hypothesis testing
Abstract The Bayes factor, the data‐based updating factor of the prior to posterior odds of two hypotheses, is a natural measure of statistical evidence for one hypothesis over the other. We show how Bayes factors can also be used for parameter estimation.
