Towards an evidence-based integrative lighting score: a proposed multi-level approach

open access: yesAnnals of Medicine
Background: Human circadian clocks are synchronized daily with the external light-dark cycle and entrained to the 24-hour day. There is increasing evidence that a lack of synchronization and circadian entrainment can lead to adverse health effects ...

Disrupting J‐Aggregation in Triazatruxene Dimers to Develop Responsive Luminescent Inks for Anti‐Counterfeiting Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
This study investigates the stimulus‐responsive behavior of trialkylated triazatruxene dimers for third‐generation luminescent security inks. In particular, the derivative with flexible dodecyl chains displays high‐contrast, reversible color changes upon heating or shear, driven by liquid crystalline phase transitions and involving J ...

Improving the Robustness of Visual Teach‐and‐Repeat Navigation Using Drift Error Correction and Event‐Based Vision for Low‐Light Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Visual teach‐and‐repeat (VTR) navigation allows robots to learn and follow routes without building a full metric map. We show that navigation accuracy for VTR can be improved by integrating a topological map with error‐drift correction based on stereo vision.

Rethinking daylighting and compliance

open access: yesJournal of Sustainable Design and Applied Research in Innovative Engineering of the Built Environment, 2013
Daylight in buildings is the natural illumination experienced by the occupants of any man-made construction with openings to the outside. Our attempts to formulate some measure of daylight provision in buildings can be traced back over a century, and the

Chromatin Topology Reconfiguration Orchestrates Thermotolerant Male Fertility via GhAL5 in Cotton

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates cotton’s high‐temperature (HT) response using multi‑omics. Dynamic 3D genome changes drive expression bias affecting male fertility. The tolerant line shows controlled chromatin dynamics, while the sensitive line exhibits overactivation.
