Blood pressure effects of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists: Mechanisms, trial evidence and Real‐world data

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists modestly lower blood pressure across diverse patient populations, including those without diabetes. These effects appear largely independent of glycaemic control and offer additive value in high‐risk patients with overlapping comorbidities.

Comparative evaluation of reactive dye structures on colour strength enhancement in caustic‐treated regenerated bamboo fabrics

open access: yesColoration Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract Regenerated bamboo fibres offer a sustainable alternative to conventional cellulosic materials; however, achieving high and reproducible colour strength with reactive dyes may depend on both fibre accessibility and dye molecular architecture.

Screen Façade Pattern Design Driven by Generative Adversarial Networks and Machine Learning Classification for the Evaluation of a Daylight Environment

open access: yesBuildings
This research seeks to identify optimised screen façade patterns and ratios for the effective management of daylight ingress and glare effects. It employs generative adversarial networks (GANs) to generate pattern variations and further evaluates the ...

The effects of spectrum, irradiance, and duration of exposure on light‐induced melatonin suppression in healthy adults

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
The left panel reports the measured time course data of melatonin concentration in the blood plasma of 17 BL‐Rs and 15 BL‐NRs at baseline, during a two‐hour stay in the dark, during a one‐hour light exposure to blue light, and again in the dark. The right panel shows the magnitude of melatonin concentration after 60 min of exposure to warm white, cool ...

Prey group cohesion mediates the outcome of predator–prey interactions under artificial lighting

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, Volume 40, Issue 9, Page 2818-2829, September 2026.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract The highest rates of piscivorous predation in the field have been recorded during crepuscular light levels associated with sunrise and sunset or artificial lighting at night (ALAN).

Annual Daylight Performance, Glare, and Privacy-Curtain Trade-Offs in Single and Shared Oncology Patient Rooms: A Climate-Based Simulation Study

open access: yesArchitecture
Daylight is a key component of evidence-based healthcare design, yet strategies that increase daylight may also introduce glare and interact with privacy measures used in shared hospital rooms.

Fendioxypyracil, a new and systemic PPO‐inhibiting herbicide for X‐spectrum weed control

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 7, Page 6794-6807, July 2026.
This graphical abstract presents the discovery and synthesis of PPO herbicide structures with a central pyridine core, showing molecular conformations, dose–response inhibition curves for PPO1 and PPO2, and comparative weed and grass control efficacy of fendioxypyracil versus other herbicides in greenhouse and field trials.
