The laplace transform DBEM for mixed-mode dynamic crack analysis

Computers & Structures, 1996
A boundary element method (BEM) for the two-dimensional analysis of structures with stationary cracks subjected to dynamic loads is presented. The difficulties in modelling the structures with cracks by BEM are solved by using two different equations for coincident points on the crack surfaces.

Dynamic Modeling and Simulation of One Kind of Industry Robot by DBEM

2009 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering, 2009
A systemic modeling method of an industry robot structure was proposed by mixed fundamental solutions, and the corresponding dynamic characteristics were analyzed. Generally, the robot structure can be modeled in beam, plate, spring and mass elements by a dynamic boundary element method (DBEM).

DBEM Analysis of Beams on Modified Elastoplastic Winkler Foundation

1991
The problem of a beam on an elastoplastic Winkler medium is handled using a general Direct Boundary Element Method approach. The case of concentrated internal loading is considered, and the governing equations are obtained both following the classic beam subdivision approach and considering the beam loaded by a family of Dirac delta distributions and ...

Gravity wave interaction with cage enveloped breakwaters using DBEM

ZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik, 2023
Abstract Dual boundary element method‐based numerical investigations are carried out on the wave reflection, transmission, and dissipation characteristics of a breakwater made of a porous cage filled with rocks. To assess the hydrodynamic performance, we analyzed three different configurations (namely the conventional trapezoidal ...

Study on Dynamic Behaviors of Thin Plate Structure by DBEM

Key Engineering Materials, 2007
An analytical method of single field reducing-coupling on dynamic modeling is presented to analyze dynamic behaviors of thin plate structure based on dynamic fundamental solutions. In order to improve systematic modeling precision and efficiency, the method of single field reducing-coupling is introduced to deduce governing equations of thin plate ...

Geomatrically Nonlinear Analysis of Cracked Stiffened Curved Panels by DBEM

Key Engineering Materials, 2008
This paper presents applications where the DBEM formulations presented by Dirgantara and Aliabadi [3, 4] is combined with the multi region BEM presented recently by Baiz and Aliabadi [2], for the analysis of cracked shear deformable plates and shallow shell assemblies. Stress intensity factors are obtained using the CTOD technique. Several examples are

PREDICTING CME ARRIVAL TIME AND SPEED WITH DBEM [PDF]

open access: possible, 2019
The Drag-based Model (DBM) is an analytical model that predicts the CME arrival time and speed at Earth or any other target in the solar system. It is based on the equation of motion and depends on certain initial parameters such as CME launch speed, background solar wind speed and empirically derived drag parameter.
