Super‐Robust Telecommunications Enabled by Topological Half‐Supermodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
Through topological half‐supermode engineering, we realize a valley‐ridge gap waveguide that is directly compatible with conventional waveguides and features topological protection. This design halves the lateral size via a PEC boundary, enabling direct TE₁₀‐mode matching and robust bend‐immune transmission.

Brain Folding Trajectories in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 4, March 2026.
Our whole‐brain investigation of sulcal morphometry in ALS demonstrates that brain folding patterns, and in particular the central sulcus, are altered in ALS and correlate with clinical progression, resembling the neurodegenerative pattern of the disease.

Performance Analysis of CA‐Polar Code for 5G‐IoT Low Power Wide Area Networks

open access: yesInternet Technology Letters, Volume 9, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
ABSTRACT CRC‐Aided Polar (CA‐Polar) codes are the standardized channel coding scheme for control channels of 5G eMBB service class due to their capacity achieving performance. This work aims to assess the compatibility and scalability of CA‐Polar codes toward low power IoT applications coming under the domain of LPWAN.

Ticept: Wideband Electrical Properties Tomography by Tissue Composition Assessment With Quantitative  1$$ {}^1 $$H 23$$ {}^{23} $$Na 39$$ {}^{39} $$K Multinuclear MRI

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 3, Page 1503-1512, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop a noninvasive method for estimating dielectric properties over a wide frequency range from 50 to 600 MHz. Existing methods are limited in accuracy and provide single‐frequency results. Furthermore, accurate knowledge of dielectric properties becomes more important, since medical device design and safety evaluation ...

Tunable Josephson Generator for Qubit Excitation and Two‐Tone Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2026.
A tunable on‐chip Josephson generator that enables direct qubit excitation has been presented. The device consists of a current‐biased Josephson junction and a superconducting resonator, forming a microwave source that operates at 4 K. Excitation of the qubit at 20 mK was done via a short coaxial line between the 4 K and 20 mK stages.

Radio Propagation in Railway Corridors Through Dense Forests–Measurement and Modeling at 460 MHz

open access: yesRadio Science, Volume 61, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Current train signaling systems are being replaced by advanced systems like Communications‐Based Train Control, European Rail Traffic Management System, and Positive Train Control, which rely on radio networks. However, railways operating in dense forest environments face unique challenges for wireless systems due to high levels of signal ...
