The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Modelling of DC-DC converters based on front-to-front connected MMC for small signal studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The Multi-terminal DC grid is expected to be built incrementally by interconnecting existing HVDC installations. In doing so, an enabling component is the DC-DC converter which also plays the role of a power flow controller.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Analysis and Optimization of the Loss Distribution for a Two Stage AC/DC Power Supply

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics
This paper presents the analysis and optimization procedure of a two-stage bidirectional AC/DC power supply. The exemplary power supply consists of a silicon carbide based active front end and a dual active bridge DC/DC converter.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Arm current reversal‐based modular multilevel DC‐DC converter

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2021
Nowadays, most of the converters used in high‐power high‐voltage (HV) applications are the conventional modular multilevel converters (MMC). However, in the case of DC‐DC conversion, an imbalance of the capacitor voltages occurs and the conventional MMC ...

Determination of protection system requirements for DC UAV electrical power networks for enhanced capability and survivability

open access: yes, 2011
A growing number of designs of future Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) applications utilise dc for the primary power distribution method. Such systems typically employ large numbers of power electronic converters as interfaces for novel loads and generators.

Emerging insights into CC and CXC chemokines and their receptors in Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dual roles of CC and CXC chemokines in distinguishing active, latent, and subclinical tuberculosis were reviewed, along with an evaluation of their potential as diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets to advance precision medicine in tuberculosis management. The graphical abstract was generated with AI assistance (Gemini 3.0).

A novel bidirectional DC–DC converter with high voltage conversion ratio and capability of cancelling input current ripple

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
This paper proposes a novel bidirectional DC–DC converter with high voltage conversion ratio and capability of cancelling input current ripple. The proposed converter uses two coupled inductors and switched‐capacitor circuit to increase the voltage ...
