A component-reduced Zero-Voltage Switching three-level DC-DC converter [PDF]
The basic Zero-Voltage Switching (ZVS) three-level DC-DC converter has one clamping capacitor to realize the ZVS of the switches, and two clamping diodes to clamp the voltage of the clamping capacitor. In order to reduce the reverse recovery loss of the diode as well as its cost, this paper proposes to remove one of the clamping diodes in basic ZVS ...

Adaptive Phasor Estimation Algorithm Based on a Least Squares Method
This paper proposes an adaptive phasor estimation algorithm based on a least square method that can suppress the adverse effect of an exponentially decreasing DC offset component in a phasor estimation process. The proposed algorithm is composed of three

Multiple-Output DC-DC Converters with a Reduced Number of Active and Passive Components [PDF]
Multiple-output converters have been widely used where individual outputs are required. Compared with conventional separate converters, the advantage of multiple outputs is to have a lower number of active and passive components. In this paper, first, a pulse-width-modulation (PWM)-pulse-frequency-modulation (PFM) method is used for two-output ...

High density packaging of the passive components in an automotive DC/DC converter
In this paper a very high power density DC/DC converter module for automotive applications is investigated. The 14 V/42 V converter is specified to operate at a power level of 2.1 kW with a water cooled heatsink at 85/spl deg/C. The design and implementation of very high density passive components is discussed.
