Comparison between flying capacitor and modular multilevel inverter

open access: yes, 2009
The paper describes the operational principle of flying capacitor and modular multilevel inverters. The detailed discussions of dc link capacitors voltage balancing methods for both inverters are given in order to enable fair comparison. The causes of dc

Solution‐Processed Thin‐Film Transistors With Tunable Temporal Dynamics for Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed CNT and CNT/P3HT ion‐gated transistors exhibit materials‐defined synaptic timescales: fast CNT devices for high‐frequency spiking and slow hybrid devices for temporal integration. Embedding these dynamics into coupled reservoir‐computing and spiking neural network simulations reveals that a Hybrid‐Reservoir / CNT‐SNN architecture ...

Analysis and Calculation of DC-link Ripple for the Inverter in Electric Vehicle

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu, 2015
The performance of electric drive system for electric vehicle largely depends on the characteristics of DC-link capacitor in inverter, especially the abilities to absorb ripple current and ripple voltage of DC-link.

Loss comparison of 2 and 3-level inverter topologies

open access: yes, 2010
This paper investigates semiconductor and DC-link capacitor losses in two two-level and two three-level voltage source inverters. The components of the four inverters are selected to have appropriate voltage and current ratings.

A quasi-offline condition monitoring method of DC-link capacitor banks in accelerator power converters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
This paper proposes a condition monitoring scheme for DC-link electrolytic capacitors used innregenerative medium power converters. The monitoring scheme is based on capacitor bank voltage measurements in quasi-offline mode.

Output Voltage Imbalance Compensation Using dc Offset Voltage for Split dc-Link Capacitor 3-Leg Inverter

open access: yes, 2021
In this paper, we analyzed the output voltage imbalance and the cause of the offset voltage in 3-phase 3-leg inverters by using Millman’s theory. Based on this result, we proposed a voltage imbalance compensation algorithm using the dc offset voltage ...

Enhancement of Dielectric Breakdown Strength and Recoverable Energy Density in Three‐Dimensional Heterointerfaces on BaTiO3–PbZrO3–PbTiO3 Films via Room‐Temperature Nano‐Clustering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A room‐temperature aerosol deposition process yields multiphase nano‐clustered dielectric capacitors containing discrete BaTiO3, PbZrO3, and PbTiO3 crystals. This architecture creates three‐dimensional heterointerfaces that induce interfacial charge trapping and effectively inhibit breakdown propagation.
