A Resonant DC–DC Transformer With Zero Current Ripple

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2007
The paper presents a resonant converter topology capable of providing zero ripple conditions at either its input or output current. The basic properties of the proposed topology are discussed in detail. The remarkable symmetry and the proportional voltages of the circuit allow it to maintain ripple-less current independent of the load or switching ...

Efficiency improvement of piezoelectric-transformer DC-DC converter

PESC 98 Record. 29th Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference (Cat. No.98CH36196), 2002
Piezoelectric-transformers (PT) have a lot of merits in comparison with magnetic transformers. We have previously presented some types of piezoelectric-transformer DC-DC converters (PT-converters) for AC-adapters, but their efficiency was restricted. The maximum efficiency was less than 80%.

A Family of Zero-Voltage-Switching DC-DC Transformers

Twenty-First Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2006. APEC '06., 2006
A family of zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) dc-dc transformers is proposed in the paper. Utilizing the magnetizing current, all switches can realize ZVS independent of input voltage and load. A ZVS push-pull forward dc-dc transformer is used to illustrate the concept. The switches' ZVS condition is theoretically analyzed.

Noise characteristics of piezoelectric-transformer DC-DC converter

PESC 98 Record. 29th Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference (Cat. No.98CH36196), 2002
A piezoelectric-transformer (PT) is expected for a low-electric-noise device because it transmits power by mechanical vibration. However, there has been no study about noise of the PT so far. In this paper, we propose a model which focuses on a parasitic impedance of the PT, and compare its simulated result with an observed common-mode noise in the PT ...

Research on ZVS Half-Bridge DC/DC Transformer

2017 International Conference on Smart Grid and Electrical Automation (ICSGEA), 2017
The DC transformer (DCT) based on half-bridge topology is studied in this paper, analyzes the circuit principle of work, on the basis of this, the characteristics of DCT are studied, zero voltage switching (ZVS) is deducted, and the characteristic of the output voltage and power transmission of DCT are given, as well as the design method and ...

Fault Analysis of DC-Transformer for DC Distribution grid

2019 IEEE Innovative Smart Grid Technologies - Asia (ISGT Asia), 2019
The DC transformer (DCT) is a device that realizes energy interconnection and electrical isolation between different voltage levels in a DC distribution network. The stable operation of DCT directly affects the reliability of the DC distribution network.
