A resonant DC-DC transformer

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1993
The characteristics of a push-pull parallel resonant converter (PPRC) when operated as a DC-DC transformer were investigated theoretically and experimentally. In the DC-DC transformer region, the voltage transfer ratio of the PPRC was found to be practically constant and independent of the input voltage and load.

Potentials and Challenges of Multiwinding Transformer-Based DC-DC Converters for Solid-State Transformer

IECON 2021 – 47th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2021
Multiwinding-Transfomer-based (MTB) DC-DC converter is an interesting possibility to interconnect several energy systems and to offer higher power density because of the reduction of transformer core material and reduction of power converter stages. MTB DC-DC converters can be considered as an interesting compromise between non-modular and modular DC ...

A DC Transformer

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2014
A component level dc transformer is described in which no alternating currents or voltages are present. It operates by combining features of a homopolar motor and a homopolar generator, both dc devices, such that the output voltage of a dc power supply can be stepped up (or down) with a corresponding step down (or up) in the current.

Research on a novel DC-DC transformer

2011 International Conference on Electric Information and Control Engineering, 2011
With the development of power electronic technology and the distributed generations, it is expected that transformer function can be realized by using power devices and the bulk and cost of transformer will be reduced. So the DC-DC transformers whose voltage isn't regulated with the load and the input voltage are focused on in resent years.

The biased transformer DC-to-DC converter

1976 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1976
A dc-to-dc converter design based on the constant-current flux-reset principle is presented. Such converters use a mulitude of separate individual half-wave switching sections. Each section consists of a power transistor and a transformer which is reset through an external bias current source.

Research on LLC DC-DC Transformer

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
Regulated DC-DC converter and unregulated DC-DC transformer is the basic types of DC-DC converter. Now the research is focusing on the regulated form named regulated LLC resonant DC-DC converter. Unregulated form of LLC resonant DC-DC converter named LLC resonant DC-DC transformer is studied in this paper in order to increase the practical topology of ...

Analysis of DC-DC Converters Containing a Transformer

2006 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2006
This paper gives rigorous analysis of a kind of switching converters containing a transformer and shows that some graph-theoretic interpretation for them to work as DC-DC converters is possible.
