Uncertainty Assessment in DCB Testing
CORROSION 2015, 2015Abstract Method D, Double cantilever beam (DCB) test is used for design/fitness-for-service, material qualification and specification purposes. Material resistance to propagation of environmental cracks is expressed in terms of a critical stress intensity factor KISSC or Klimit values.

Delamination of beams: an application to the DCB specimen
International Journal of Fracture, 1996This paper deals with the problem of the delamination of laminated beams. A model based on adhesion theory is adopted. The laminate is modeled as two beams in adhesion, with an initial defect in part of the interface. Adhesion is governed by two state variables: the relative displacement of the points belonging to the two beams and lying at the ...

Shear Fracture Propagation by DCB Testing
Journal of Pressure Vessel Technology, 1978A shear fracture propagation in steel was investigated with the aid of spring-loaded DCB testing, that was developed as a laboratory simulation test of shear fracture propagation in pressurized gas pipelines. The dynamic aspects of fracture propagation were studied experimentally, mainly to obtain an average strain rate as well as strain distribution ...

BDS Satellites and Receivers DCB Resolution
2014Using GNSS observation data to establish high-precision ionospheric model has an important role in precise point positioning, real-time navigation and ionosphere research. One of the main error sources to accurately estimate total electron content (TEC) is Differential Code Bias (DCB).

Practical DCB for improved data center networks
IEEE INFOCOM 2014 - IEEE Conference on Computer Communications, 2014Storage area networking is driving commodity data center switches to support lossless Ethernet (DCB). Unfortunately, to enable DCB for all traffic on arbitrary network topologies, we must address several problems that can arise in lossless networks, e.g., large buffering delays, unfairness, head of line blocking, and deadlock.

DCB-specimen loaded with uneven bending moments
International Journal of Fracture, 2006A double cantilever beam specimen loaded with uneven bending moments (DCB-UBM) is proposed for mixed mode fracture mechanics characterisation of adhesive joints, laminates and multilayers. A linear elastic fracture mechanics analysis gives the energy release rate and mode mixity analytically for both isotropic and orthotropic materials.

Fatigue crack growth in bonded DCB specimens
Engineering Fracture Mechanics, 2004Fatigue crack growth tests were conducted on double cantilever beam bonded specimens with the aim to characterize an adhesive for structural applications. The tests were conducted in lab air at two different load ratios, R=Pmin/Pmax, and at two different loading frequencies, f. Crack propagation was monitored using the unloading compliance method.

New Trends in Power Microelectronics DCB Packages
Hybrid Circuits, 1992Direct copper bonded (DCB) alumina substrates are among sophisticated technical materials suitable for application in electronics, automotive and engineering industries. DCB substrates resist very severe operational conditions and assure high reliability.

End corrections for orthotropic DCB specimens
Composites Science and Technology, 1989Abstract An extension of the beam on an elastic foundation model for estimating the end rotation correction for orthotropic double cantilever beam specimens is described. The solutions are compared with finite element results and a small empirical modification to the analytical result gives a simple formula for calculating an effective crack length ...
