Biomonitoring Equivalents for DDT/DDE

Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology, 2011
Biomonitoring Equivalents (BEs) are defined as the concentration or range of concentrations of a chemical or its metabolite in a biological medium (blood, urine, or other medium) that is consistent with an existing health-based exposure guideline such as a reference dose (RfD) or tolerable daily intake (TDI).

DDE Remediation and Degradation

2008
DDT and its metabolites, DDD and DDE, have been shown to be recalcitrant to degradation. The parent compound, DDT, was used extensively worldwide starting in 1939 and was banned in the United States in 1973. The daughter compound, DDE, may result from aerobic degradation, abiotic dehydrochlorination, or photochemical decomposition.

Solving DDEs in Matlab

Applied Numerical Mathematics, 2001
The background of a Matlab procedure, dde234, to solve delay differential equations (DDEs) with constant delays is described. The main features of this new procedure are discontinuity tracking and event location. Runge-Kutta triples are extended in order to solve with them DDEs.

Fire Smart DDE Polymers

High Performance Polymers, 2007
The chemistry and properties of polymers containing the “fire smart” moiety 1,1-dichloro-2,2-diphenylethene (DDE) are described. These polymers are typically derived from the bisphenol of chloral (bisphenol-C/BPC) and are low cost, easily processed, and have good mechanical properties and toughness under normal conditions.

DDE – Draco Domain Editor

A ferramenta DDE facilita a edição destas partes

From ODE to DDE

Frontiers of Mathematics in China, 2009
The delay differential equation \[ x'(t)=f(t,x(t),x(t-\tau)) \tag{1} \] is considered, where \(f:\mathbb{R}\times \mathbb{R}^n\to \mathbb{R}^n\) and \(\tau>0\). For this equation there are given both local and global existence theorems for periodical solutions.

DDT and DDE content of human tissues

Forensic Science, 1972
Abstract In 1968–1969 determinations of DDT and DDE were made in the subcutaneous and perirenal fatty tissues, liver and brain from autopsies of persons who had had no professional contact with chlorinated hydrocarbons. The contents of DDT and DDE were measured in 96 samples by gas chromatography. Retentions of unchanged DDT in the fatty subcutaneous

DDE Poisoning in an Adult Bald Eagle

Journal of Wildlife Diseases, 1997
A 12-year-old female bald eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) was found in May 1993 on Santa Catalina Island, California (USA), in a debilitated condition, exhibiting ataxia and tremors; it died within hours. On necropsy, the bird was emaciated but had no evidence of disease or physical injury.

Embedded DDES of 2D Hump Flow

2012
The present work aims to investigate the usage of embedded regions of turbulent flow simulation near to the point of separation; towards an approach whereby discrete regions of turbulent resolving techniques are used within a domain predominantly solved using the RANS equations.
