PRELIMINARY STRUCTURAL OPTIMIZATION OF SOME FUMONISIN METABOLITES BY DENSITY FUNCTIONAL THEORY CALCULATION [PDF]
Maize (Zea mays L.) is often contaminated with Fusarium verticillioides. This harmful fungus produces fumonisins as secondary metabolites. These fumonisins can appear both free and hidden form in planta.

Eutectic mixtures from trans‐vaccenic acid (TVA) and stearic acid, which served as phase‐change material to encapsulate IR780, forming NIR‐responsive nanoparticles. IR780@TVA LNPs induce photothermal therapy and initiate adaptive anti‐tumor immunity.

Supramolecular hydrogels enable real‐time visualization of mechanical stress through supramolecular switching mechanotransduction. Adamantane‐modified cellulose functions as a responsive domain that undergoes an on–off transition between hydrated and dehydrated states via reversible β‐cyclodextrin–adamantane complexation and decomplexation.

An intelligent Au@CeO2 Hybrid Nanoparticles (ACEF) with microenvironment‐dependent self‐adjustability was engineered to not only perform efficient and tumor‐specific photothermal‐chemodynamic therapy for precise tumor elimination, but also serve as a ROS scavenger in healthy tissues around the tumor to avoid the unexpected oxidative damage and ...

A crude cell-free extract from cultures of Fusarium sp. strain C37410-90 possessed significant esterase activity and hydrolyzed the trichothecene mycotoxin 3-acetyldeoxynivalenol (3-AcDON) to deoxynivalenol (DON) in high yield. Smaller amounts of 15-acetyl- and 3,15-diacetyl-esters of DON were also formed. The extract was capable of hydrolyzing a range

Conventional single‐gradient freeze‐casting typically produces unidirectional porous architectures with limited transverse connectivity. The Sequential Hybridization by Infiltration and Freeze‐casting Technique (SHIFT) addresses this constraint by integrating secondary aligned structures within a preformed primary scaffold.

Plants emit high rates of methanol (meOH), generally assumed to derive from pectin demethylation, and this increases during abiotic stress. In contrast, less is known about the emission and source of acetic acid (AA).

Detoxification of Mycotoxins through Biotransformation
Mycotoxins are toxic fungal secondary metabolites that pose a major threat to the safety of food and feed. Mycotoxins are usually converted into less toxic or non-toxic metabolites through biotransformation that are often made by living organisms as well
