In this paper, we consider the deadbeat control for both the output and input of step-like references and single-input single-output processes. The controllers are selected from among two-degree-of-freedom robust-tracking controllers, and we derive the parametrization of all input/output deadbeat controllers.

Self-tuning deadbeat controllers
International Journal of Control, 1984Abstract A deterministic self-tuning deadbeat control scheme is presented which is extremely simple to implement in the single-variable and multivariable cases. Its convergence properties are analysed by straightforward application of de Larminat's convergence results.

Multivariable deadbeat tracking controllers
Proceedings of the 37th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.98CH36171), 2002This paper presents an explicit parameterization of all deadbeat tracking controllers for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) control system. The advantages over the previous results are as follows: Firstly the class of the reference inputs for which deadbeat tracking is achieved is generalized.

Traditional ultralocal model-based predictive current control (UL-PCC) method has strong robustness on current control; however, the UL-PCC still relies on inductance to design the controller gain, which really deteriorates its robustness on parameter ...

Robust ripple-free deadbeat control design
International Journal of Control, 1999This paper deals with the design of ripple-free deadbeat controllers with performance or performance robustness optimized over controllers within a prescribed settling time. The performance objective of interest is the minimization of the maximum absolute tracking error. This leads to consider linfinity optimization problems.
