Deadbeat control of PWM inverter with repetitive disturbance prediction

APEC '99. Fourteenth Annual Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition. 1999 Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.99CH36285), 1999
A new approach for deadbeat control of a PWM invertor is presented, in which the estimation of the disturbance is carried out with a repetitive predictor instead of a disturbance observer. Taking advantage of repetitiveness of the loads, it gives good performance at lower sampling frequency. Simulations and experiments confirmed the advantages.

Predictive deadbeat current control of five-phase BLDC machines

IECON 2014 - 40th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2014
Model predictive control algorithms have recently gained more importance in the field of power electronics and motor drives. One of the important categories of model predictive control methods is improved deadbeat control in which the reverse system model is used to calculate the appropriate inputs for the next iteration of controlling process. In this

Permanent synchronous motor predictive deadbeat current control-robustness investigation

The 6th Power Electronics, Drive Systems & Technologies Conference (PEDSTC2015), 2015
This paper investigates the robustness of predictive deadbeat current control applied to a surface permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) due to model parameter uncertainty. This kind of control is considered as model based control and it is very sensitive to model parameter mismatch. Two different methods to improve control robustness are presented

A predictive deadbeat control in shunt active power filter

2011 International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP), 2011
Successive improvement of microprocessor performance makes the deadbeat control applied more widely in active power filter. However, the deadbeat control is susceptible to the noise when it is used to deal with the instantaneous current sampling data. This paper proposed a predictive deadbeat control method based on coherent average.

Six - phase Motor fault-tolerant control based on deadbeat predictive current control

2020 IEEE 1st China International Youth Conference on Electrical Engineering (CIYCEE), 2020
Aiming at the single-phase open circuit fault of a six-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM), take the neutral point of two sets of windings connected and not connected to the inverter as an example. Based on the principle of constant stator magnetomotive force, solve the residual phase current at the stator end and then establish the ...

PMSM Control by Deadbeat Predictive Current Control

2018
Considering classical framework imbalance and one-leap lag, an revised current controller is introduced in this work. Synchronous Motor using permanent magnet (PMSM) current control of is boosted up using this controller. By improving the current control, losses in the machine are minimized and machine performance can be improved.

Deadbeat Predictive Current Control for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

2019 22nd International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2019
A single beat deadbeat predictive current control (DPCC) method for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) was proposed. The motor current state equation was derived based on its model, and the regulator expression of single beat DPCC has been obtained from its model.

Deadbeat Predictive Control on a Space Truss Structure

Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 2006
A preliminary study of a deadbeat predictive controller (DPC) on a space truss structure using on/off thrusters was conducted. The laboratory truss experiment for space structure (TESS) was a 54-bay truss designed to validate different active control techniques.

Observer-based deadbeat predictive speed controller for surface-mounted PM synchronous motor

ISA Transactions, 2021
This paper investigates an observer-based deadbeat predictive speed controller (DBPSC) for a prototype surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) drive system. Unlike the conventional deadbeat controllers which are mainly used for deadbeat current control in the inner loop in a cascaded control structure, the proposed deadbeat ...

Feedback-signal prediction for a deadbeat PI controller

Russian Electrical Engineering, 2014
This paper considers an algorithm of feedback-signal prediction for implementing a current loop with a PI controller tuned for deadbeat control. The algorithm takes into account errors of incorrectly set inductance and the presence of a filter in the feedback signal.
