Dense Nanofibrillar Collagen–Silica Hybrids with High Strength and ECM‐Mimetic Tissue Integration
Dense nanofibrillar collagen–silica hybrids are engineered by synchronizing collagen fibrillogenesis with silica condensation, producing printable scaffolds that unexpectedly approach native extracellular matrix organization and strength. These cell‐free constructs guide endogenous cell‐infiltration, enable localized matrix remodeling, and integrate ...

Brief communication: Supraglacial debris-cover changes in the Caucasus Mountains [PDF]
Abstract. Debris cover on glaciers can significantly alter melt, and hence, glacier mass balance and runoff. Debris coverage typically increases with shrinking glaciers. Here, we present data on debris cover and its changes for 559 glaciers located in different regions of the Greater Caucasus mountains based on 1986, 2000 and 2014 Landsat and SPOT ...

Drug‐Free Thrombolysis Mediated by Physically Activated Micro/Nanoparticles
Overview of particle‐mediated thrombolytic effects (thermal, mechanical, and chemical) and their activating physical stimuli (light, ultrasound, and magnetic field) in drug‐free thrombolysis. ABSTRACT Thrombus‐associated disorders rank among the world's leading causes of death, with ischemic heart disease and stroke as the main contributors.

Spatial Distribution and Characteristics of Debris-Covered Glaciers in Xinjiang Based on CGI-XJ2020
Debris cover is widespread on glaciers and strongly alters their surface albedo, energy balance, and ablation. Using the Chinese Glacier Inventory of Xinjiang 2020 (CGI-XJ2020), this study investigates the spatial distribution of debris-covered glaciers ...

Ablation process of debris-covered glaciers.

Membrane vesicles derived from the probiotic Lacticaseibacillus casei BL23 demonstrate antimicrobial properties against Escherichia coli and a potential biological effect in improving the overall survival of C. elegans infected with Pseudomonas aeruginosa. These vesicles stimulated immune responses in primary cells without causing toxicity. Our results

Digital Image Correlation of Google Earth Images for Earth’s Surface Displacement Estimation
An increasing number of satellite platforms provide daily images of the Earth’s surface that can be used in quantitative monitoring applications. However, their cost and the need for specific processing software make such products not often suitable for ...

Debris properties and mass-balance impacts on adjacent debris-covered glaciers, Mount Rainier, USA [PDF]
The north and east slopes of Mount Rainier, Washington, are host to three of the largest glaciers in the contiguous United States: Carbon Glacier, Winthrop Glacier, and Emmons Glacier. Each has an extensive blanket of supraglacial debris on its terminus, but recent work indicates that each has responded to late twentieth- and early twenty-first-century
