In response to the challenges posed by frequent, widespread, long-lasting, large-scale, severe, and difficult-to-control debris flows in strong earthquake areas, this study, based on the results of the National Key R&D Program, investigates dozens of ...

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Alpine glaciers are vulnerable to climate changes, and their recession due to warming has already induced a large number of geohazards closely related to the glacial motion, such as debris flow. Strong coupling of the geology, geomorphology, climate, and

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Experimental investigations of granular matter flow regimes leading to insight into lahar flow dynamics : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Earth Science at Massey University, Manawatū, New Zealand [PDF]
The flow of granular material governs numerous natural processes including the aeolian dynamics of sand dune formation, sub-aerial and submarine mass flows, the collective dynamics of ice blocks floating on the ocean, avalanches of debris and snow, as

Variable selection based on entropic criterion and its application to the debris-flow triggering [PDF]
We propose a new data analyzing scheme, the method of minimum entropy analysis (MEA), in this paper. New MEA provides a quantitative criterion to select relevant variables for modeling the physical system interested. Such method can be easily extended to

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Mid- and Long-Term Effects of Wildfire and Debris Flows on Stream Ecosystem Metabolism [PDF]
Wildfire is an important and prevalent agent of disturbance in vegetated landscapes across much of the Earth’s surface, including forested watersheds in the arid western USA.

Dapagliflozin prevents methylglyoxal‐induced retinal cell death in ARPE‐19 cells
Diabetic macular oedema is a diabetes complication of the eye, which may lead to permanent blindness. ARPE‐19 are human retinal cells used to study retinal diseases and potential therapeutics. Methylglyoxal is a compound increased in uncontrolled diabetes due to elevated blood glucose.
