ChPT parameters from τ-decay data
Using the updated ALEPH V-A spectral function from tau decays, we determine the lowest spectral moments of the left-right correlator and extract dynamical information on order parameters of the QCD chiral symmetry breaking. Uncertainties associated with violations of quark-hadron duality are estimated from the data, imposing all known short-distance ...

The presence of biotin‐binding avidin proteins in fish and their biological significance are poorly characterized. We cataloged fish avidins and demonstrate that they are widely present and evolutionarily conserved. We created avd knockout zebrafish and show that zebavidin is dispensable for development and that resistance of avd knockout embryos in ...

Parameter fitting in three-flavor Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model with various regularizations
We study the three-flavor Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model with various regularization procedures. We perform parameter fitting in each regularization and apply the obtained parameter sets to evaluate various physical quantities, several light meson masses ...

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

Space–time evolution of heavy sterile neutrinos in cascade decays
Heavy sterile-like neutrinos may be produced resonantly from the decay of pseudoscalar mesons and may decay into several different channels in a cascade Φ→Lανh; νh→{X}. In general these are rare events with displaced vertices.

Bounds for Kℓ3 decay parameters
Abstract The extremum of the integral ∫∞ f(x) ‖F (x)‖2 dx is determined for the case when the values taken by the function F (x)1 at three points are known. The result is applied to the Kl3 problem, the function F (x) being replaced by the form factor f+(q2)+f−(q2)q2(mK 2−mπ2) of the divergence of the strangeness changing vector current.

RNA Sequencing Resolves Cryptic Pathogenic Variants in Mitochondrial Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Mitochondrial diseases are the most common inherited metabolic disorders, characterized by pronounced clinical and genetic heterogeneity that complicates molecular diagnosis. Although DNA‐based sequencing approaches have become standard in genetic testing, up to half of patients remain without a definitive diagnosis.

We study the possibility to use the cluster-daughter overlap as a new probe of alpha-cluster formation in medium-mass and heavy even–even nuclei. We introduce a dimensionless parameter O, which is the ratio between the root-mean-square (rms) intercluster
