B decays in the upsilon expansion [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Theoretical predictions for B decay rates are rewritten in terms of the Upsilon(1S) meson mass instead of the b quark mass, using a modified perturbation expansion. The theoretical consistency of this expansion is shown both at low and high orders.

Polaritonic linewidth asymmetry in the strong and ultrastrong coupling regime

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2023
The intriguing properties of polaritons resulting from strong and ultrastrong light–matter coupling have been extensively investigated. However, most research has focused on spectroscopic characteristics of polaritons, such as their eigenfrequencies and ...

Solar influence on radon decay rates: irradiance or neutrinos?

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
Radon decay rate data from 2007–2011, measured in a closed canister with one gamma counter and two alpha detectors, were made available for analysis by the Geological Survey of Israel (GSI). Sturrock et al.

Search for CP Violation in Charged D Meson Decays

open access: yes, 1997
We report results of a search for CP violation in the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays D+ -> K- K+ pi+, phi pi+, K*(892)0 K+, and pi- pi+ pi+ based on data from the charm hadroproduction experiment E791 at Fermilab.

QCD+QED lattice calculation of hadronic decay rates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Isospin is an almost exact symmetry of strong interactions and the corrections to the isosymmetric limit are, in general, at the percent level. For several hadronic quantities relevant for flavour physics phenomenology, such as pseudoscalar meson masses ...

Qualitative properties of solutions to a generalized Fisher–KPP equation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations
The following Fisher–KPP type equation $$ u_t=Ku_{xx}-Bu^q+Au^p, \quad (x,t)\in\mathbb{R}\times(0,\infty), $$ with $p>q>0$ and $A$, $B$, $K$ positive coefficients, is considered.

Analytic Evaluation of the Decay Rate for Accelerated Proton [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We evaluate the decay rate of the uniformly accelerated proton. We obtain an analytic expression for inverse beta decay process caused by the acceleration.

On the interpretation of annual oscillations in 32Si and 36Cl decay rate measurements

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
The 32Si decay rate measurement data of Alburger et al. obtained in 1982–1986 at Brookhaven National Laboratory have been presented repeatedly as evidence for solar neutrino-induced beta decay.

Nonradiative limitations to plasmon propagation in chains of metallic nanoparticles

open access: yes, 2016
We investigate the collective plasmonic modes in a chain of metallic nanoparticles that are coupled by near-field interactions. The size- and momentum-dependent nonradiative Landau damping and radiative decay rates are calculated analytically within an ...
