On the Encoding Process in Decentralized Systems

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications
We consider the problem of encoding information in a system of N=K+R processors that operate in a decentralized manner, i.e., without a central processor which orchestrates the operation. The system involves K source processors, each holding some data modeled as a vector over a finite field.

Decentralized Dynamic Channel Allocation for MIMO Systems

open access: yes, 2007
A common scenario in wireless communication systems is one where several systems coexist in the same area and communicate using the same portion of the spectrum, possibly even using different radio interfaces. Herein, we consider non-cooperative spectrum

The Role of Actual and Purported Origin in e‐Commerce Wine Pricing: Evidence From Italian and French Names on Labels

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The origin of a product, if associated with good quality, can contribute to building a positive collective reputation, leading to a potential price premium. However, it is conceivable that a producer markets a product by evoking symbols, images, words, and values typical of places other than where it was designed or produced, creating a ...

Decentralized Voting Storage System

open access: yesINTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT
Abstract: In modern digital governance, ensuring secure, transparent, and tamper-proof elections remains a critical challenge. Traditional voting systems, whether paper-based or electronic, suffer from issues such as centralized control, lack of transparency, and vulnerability to tampering.

Cost Pass‐Through in Crisis: Evidence From the German Malt‐Beer Supply Chain

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
Abstract Global agri‐food supply chains are increasingly exposed to geopolitical shocks, climate volatility, and market consolidation, factors that disrupt traditional price relationships and reshape market power dynamics. Nowhere is this more visible than in the brewing sector, where agricultural raw materials meet complex industrial processing and ...

Reconfiguring Fresh Produce Supply Chains in Response to Drought Risk: Evidence From the U.S. Broccoli Market

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Drought is among the most severe and persistent threats to food supply chains, and relocating production to less drought‐prone regions offers a strategy to reduce this risk. This is particularly relevant for fresh vegetables, which are highly water‐intensive, yet drought‐driven reconfiguration strategies remain understudied.
