Exploring the Laws of Developmental Direction Using a Documented Skeletal Collection
ABSTRACT Objectives Many human growth studies note a trend of differential variation in limb segment lengths, where distal elements show greater variability than their proximal counterparts. This has been attributed to their developmental sequence, where bones further from the head develop later and are more impacted by fluctuating growth conditions ...

Testing Driving Mechanisms of Megathrust Seismicity With Explainable Artificial Intelligence
Abstract The correlation between subduction zone features and megathrust seismicity provides relevant clues on what controls the generation, location and clustering of mega‐earthquakes (magnitudes Mw ≥ 8.0). Thus far, weak correlations are found between subduction zone parameters and seismicity through bivariate statistical analyses.

Classification and the Definition of a Discipline: The Dewey Decimal Classification and Home Economics [PDF]
Few not directly involved with the history of home economics may be aware of Melvil Dewey's close involvement with that discipline's early development. Reconstructing the Holocene glacial history of northern Troms and western Finnmark, Arctic Norway
This paper reconstructs the glacial history of northern Troms and western Finnmark, northern Norway. We show that mountain glaciers were terminating on land, close to the present coastline between around 12.1 and 10.6 ka. Continued recession of the main Fennoscandian Ice Sheet towards the SE led to the isolation of several large plateau icefields and ...

Migration tracking assists harvest management of overabundant Canada geese in Manitoba, Canada
Temperate‐breeding giant Canada geese have been declared overabundant in Manitoba, Canada; thus, spring hunting seasons have been considered to reduce their numbers. To help increase harvest rates in these regions, we used tracking data obtained from light‐level geolocators to investigate potential differences in spring migration timing among target ...
