Oxidation of nitrobenzene by ozone in the presence of faujasite zeolite in a continuous flow gas–liquid–solid reactor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This work investigates the oxidation of nitrobenzene (NB) by ozone in the presence of faujasite zeolite. Experiments were carried out in a gas–liquid–solid reactor were ozone transfer and NB oxidation took place at the same time.

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Kinetics of the decomposition of dimethylhexane-1,6-dicarbamate to 1,6-hexamethylene diisocyanate

open access: yes, 2015
The kinetics of the decomposition of dimethylhexane-1,6-dicarbamate to 1,6-hexamethylene diisocyanate was studied. A consecutive reaction model was established and the reaction orders for the two steps were confirmed to be 1 and 1.3 by the integral test ...

Non-isothermal decomposition kinetics of magnesite Decomposição não isotérmica de magnesita

open access: yesCerâmica, 2007
Kinetics of thermal decomposition of Indian magnesite was studied by thermo-gravimetric analysis under non-isothermal condition. Coats and Redfern Integral approximation method was used to determine the kinetic parameters.

Thermal decomposition of n-hexane in organic Rankine cycle: a study combined ReaxFF reactive molecular dynamic and density functional theory

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2023
The thermal decomposition mechanism of n-hexane is investigated by using density functional theory and ReaxFF force field. The initial decomposition reactions, the effect of temperature on thermal decomposition and first-order kinetics are analyzed.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

Kinetics of thermal decomposition of the polyester nanocomposites [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
In this study, characterization processes have been done by synthesizing the nano-aerosil-reinforced polyester composite. Chemical bonds formed in polyester composites were examined with FTIR spectrum and thermal stability with proportional integral ...

A total quasi-steady-state formulation of substrate uptake kinetics in complex networks and an example application to microbial litter decomposition [PDF]

open access: yesBiogeosciences, 2013
We demonstrate that substrate uptake kinetics in any consumer–substrate network subject to the total quasi-steady-state assumption can be formulated as an equilibrium chemistry (EC) problem.

From Food to Power: Hydrogel Thermoelectrics for Ingestible Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a fully edible thermoelectric–electrochromic platform that harvests heat from food and converts it into a visible color change. N‐type and p‐type hydrogel thermoelectric generators connected in series power anthocyanin‐based electrochromic displays, demonstrating the feasibility of safe, biodegradable, ingestible systems for on‐food ...

A kinetic expression for the pyrolytic decomposition of polytetrafluoroethylene

open access: yesJournal of Fluorine Chemistry, 2008
Abstract Despite the fact that the thermal decomposition of polytetrafluoroethylene has been extensively studied over the past six decades, some inconsistencies regarding the kinetic parameters, e.g. the order of the reaction, remain. Representative kinetic data are essential for practical purposes such as reactor design and scaling. In general the
