We propose a method for stably removing noise from measurements of a quantum many-body system. The question is cast to a linear inverse problem by using a quantum Fischer information metric as figure of merit. This requires the ability to compute the adjoint of the noise channel with respect to the metric, which can be done analytically when the metric

Evaluation and Interpretation of Transcriptome Data Underlying Heterogeneous Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease [PDF]
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a type of progressive lung disease, featured by airflow obstruction. Recently, a comprehensive analysis of the transcriptome in lung tissue of COPD patients was performed, but the heterogeneity of the ...

In this paper we present a new approach to deblur the effect of atmospheric turbulence in the case of long range imaging. Our method is based on an analytical formulation, the Fried kernel, of the atmosphere modulation transfer function (MTF) and a framelet based deconvolution algorithm.

Regression‐assisted deconvolution [PDF]
AbstractWe present a semi‐parametric deconvolution estimator for the density function of a random variable biX that is measured with error, a common challenge in many epidemiological studies. Traditional deconvolution estimators rely only on assumptions about the distribution of X and the error in its measurement, and ignore information available in ...

A Practical Approach to FMCW Radar Deconvolution in the Sea Ice Domain
This paper presents a practical step-by-step approach to Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar nonlinearity correction (deconvolution), utilizing surface-based Ku- and Ka-band radar data collected over nilas ice within a newly-opened sea ice ...

Method of multilayer object sectioning based on a light scattering model
We discuss a problem of reconstructing (sectioning) multilayer object images in observed images obtained by focusing the imaging system on each layer and containing spurious blurry images of neighboring layers.
