The effectiveness of decoupling [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 7th international conference on Supercomputing, 1993
This paper examines the effectiveness of decoupling as an optimization technique for high-performance computer architectures. Decoupled access execute architectures are described, and the concept of control decoupling is introduced and justified. A description of a highly-decoupled architecture is given, and a metric for the effectiveness of decoupling

Decoupling Multivariate Fractions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
We present a new algorithm for computing compact forms of multivariate fractions. Given a fraction presented as a quotient of two polynomials, our algorithm builds a tree where internal nodes are operators, and leaves are fractions depending on pairwise disjoint sets of variables.

The decoupling estimation effect as an indicator of the efficient use of natural capital in the agrifood in the southern geographical area of the Russian Federation [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2023
In the process of studying the issues of ecological and economic interaction, the so-called “decoupling” is increasingly becoming one of the defining concepts.

Hydration of Binary Portland Cement Blends Containing Silica Fume: A Decoupling Method to Estimate Degrees of Hydration and Pozzolanic Reaction

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials, 2019
Determination of degrees of hydration/reaction of components of blended cementitious systems (i. e., cement and SCMs: supplementary cementitious materials) is essential to estimate the systems' properties.

On decoupling points and decoupling zones [PDF]

open access: yesProduction & Manufacturing Research, 2014
In a market with demand surplus, it is possible to compete with standard products available in finished goods inventory. Sooner or later, the products will be sold and mass production can prevail. Competition is however increasing and to strike a competitive balance between cost efficiency and market responsiveness, it is becoming ever more important ...

Decoupled and Reparameterized Compound Attention-Based Light Field Depth Estimation Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
A light field (LF) camera captures both spatial and angular information of the real world, and the intertwined nature of these dimensions presents a pressing challenge in effectively disentangling meaningful LF information for depth estimation.

Displacement Detection Decoupling in Counter-Propagating Dual-Beams Optical Tweezers with Large-Sized Particle

open access: yesSensors, 2020
As a kind of ultra-sensitive acceleration sensing platform, optical tweezers show a minimum measurable value inversely proportional to the square of the diameter of the levitated spherical particle.

A Novel Scaling Process for the Computation of Multiconductor Transmission-Line Modal Properties Using the Basis Invariance of Total Current and Power

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
It is generally regarded that some properties of the characteristic modes of multiconductor transmission lines, such as per-unit-length impedance, admittance, or characteristic impedance, cannot be meaningfully computed analytically.

Characteristics of atmospheric boundary layer structure and its influencing factors under different sea and land positions in Europe

open access: yesEarth and Planetary Physics, 2023
This study identifies quantitatively the dominant contributions of meteorological factors on the development of the boundary layer heights (BLH) in the European region, based on 32 years (1990−2021) of radiosonde observations.
