Deductive systems for BigData integration
The globalization is associated with an increased data to be processed from E-commerce transactions. The specialists are looking for different solutions, such as BigData, Hadoop, Datawarehoues, but it seems that the future is the predicative logic ...

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Aristotle’s Syllogistic as a Deductive System
Aristotle’s syllogistic is the first ever deductive system. After centuries, Aristotle’s ideas are still interesting for logicians who develop Aristotle’s work and draw inspiration from his results and even more from his methods.

Deductive Verification of Parallel Programs Using Why3 [PDF]
The Message Passing Interface specification (MPI) defines a portable message-passing API used to program parallel computers. MPI programs manifest a number of challenges on what concerns correctness: sent and expected values in communications may not ...

6th International Workshop on Deductive Databases and Logic Programming, DDLP '98. Proceedings
The integration of concepts from logic and deduction into databases and knowledge bases has created the field of deductive databases. Logic programming provides a powerful declarative language for accessing and maintaining knowledge in databases ...

Temporal specification and deductive verification of a distributed component model and its environment [PDF]
In this paper we investigate the formalisation of distributed and long-running stateful systems using our normative temporal specification framework. We analyse aspects of a component-oriented Grid system, and the benefits of having a logic-based tool to

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

A Deductive Peripheral Device Fine-grained Control Model [PDF]
For common Linux platforms, the existing peripheral device control methods have the problems that the control factor analysis is one-sided,the control grain size coarse, the control way is not flexible enough, etc. This paper proposes a deductive peripheral ...
