Development mechanism and practical significance of deep coalbed methane (coal rock gas) infiltration and displacement

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
A pilot test on the horizontal well JS6-7P01 in the eastern margin of Ordos Basin achieved a significant breakthrough in the first large-scale hydraulic fracturing of deep coalbed methane (CBM, or coal-measure gas), promoting nationwide exploration and ...

Beyond Closed Loops: Advancing Climate Change Mitigation by Collaborative Open Approaches

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Even as world leaders emphasize the urgency of limiting global warming, a slow transition to a circular economy persists. While climate mitigation efforts focus on renewable energy and efficiency measures, addressing the 45% of emissions from product manufacturing remains critical.

Reservoir Properties and Gas Potential of the Carboniferous Deep Coal Seam in the Yulin Area of Ordos Basin, North China

open access: yesEnergies
In comparison to shallow coal seams, deep coal seams exhibit characteristics of high temperature, pressure, and in-situ stress, leading to significant differences in reservoir properties that constrain the effective development of deep coalbed methane ...

Towards a Socially Inclusive Circular Economy: Evidence From Social Enterprises in Low‐ and Middle‐Income Countries

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Circular economy (CE) and social entrepreneurship (SE) are increasingly recognised as critical pathways for sustainable development, yet CE research often underplays social inclusion, particularly in low‐ and middle‐income countries (LMICs).

Numerical modeling of deep coalbed methane accumulation in the central-eastern Ordos Basin, China

open access: yesNatural Gas Industry B
Deep coalbed methane (CBM) has become one of the most significant potential sources of natural gas in China. However, the exploration and development of deep CBM in China is still in an initial stage, and its accumulation-forming characteristics require ...

Superior CO2 Conversion Performance by Er‐Doped BiOCl Nanosheets Through Synergistic Photocatalytic Memory Effect and Er‐Doping

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Er‐doping and the photocatalytic memory effect through visible‐light irradiation synergistically reconstruct internal electronic states of ultrathin Er‐doped BiOCl nanosheets and generate stable oxygen vacancies. Light absorption, charge carrier separation, and CO2 adsorption capability are subsequently enhanced, leading to a significant increase in ...

Characteristics and controlling factors of coal-measure unconventional reservoirs – A case study of the Carboniferous-Permian in the Ordos Basin

open access: yesUnconventional Resources
Coal-measure unconventional natural gas exhibits diverse types and abundant resources, making it a strategic exploration field to marine shale gas. Currently, researches on coal-measure unconventional gas are still in the early stages, and further study ...

Performance comparison of pressure swing adsorption and amine‐based absorption for synthesis gas purification

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Comparison of PSA and amine‐based absorption for syngas purification shows that PSA offers lower energy intensity, global warming potential, and minimum selling price, making it a more sustainable option. However, absorption achieves higher syngas purity. A GREENSCOPE‐based multi‐criteria assessment guides optimal process selection.
