Sustained Therapeutic Efficacy of Intravenous Plasminogen Concentrate in Pediatric Patients With Type 1 Plasminogen Deficiency: An Analysis of Dosing Parameters and Clinical Outcomes

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.

Adaptive Spatial Regularization Correlation Filters for UAV Tracking

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
As a tool for near-earth remote sensing, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can be used to acquire images and data of the earth's surface. This provides a powerful support for Earth observation and resource management. Object tracking in UAV videos has

Improved Early Referral in Long‐Term Survivor Care With Institutional Standardized Practice Among Childhood Leukemia Survivors#

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In 2018, the Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center Leukemia Program implemented a practice standard to support the transition from treatment to survivorship that includes shared, alternating care between leukemia and survivorship clinicians and a reminder to refer survivors to the long‐term survivor clinic (LTSC) 2 years after ...

Deep feature-specific imaging

open access: yesOptics Express
Modern photon-counting sensors are increasingly dominated by Poisson noise, yet conventional feature-specific imaging (FSI), based on principal component analysis (PCA), is optimized for additive Gaussian noise and variance preservation rather than task-specific objectives, leading to suboptimal performance and a loss of its advantages under Poisson ...

Optimizing deep bottleneck feature extraction

open access: yesThe 2013 RIVF International Conference on Computing & Communication Technologies - Research, Innovation, and Vision for Future (RIVF), 2013
We investigate several optimizations to a recently published architecture for extracting bottleneck features for large-vocabulary speech recognition with deep neural networks. We are able to improve recognition performance of first-pass systems from a 12% relative word error rate reduction reported previously to 21%, compared to MFCC baselines on a ...

Deep feature learnt by conventional deep neural network

open access: yesComputers & Electrical Engineering, 2020
Abstract In this paper, we introduce an approach to discriminate unconventional images and their intelligent filtering. As the target data to this issue are huge and consequently, a handling approach might potentially be a very time consuming one, one of the major challenges to be solved by this introduced approach is its ability for dealing with ...

An Adaptive Approach for Multi-National Vehicle License Plate Recognition Using Multi-Level Deep Features and Foreground Polarity Detection Model

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
License plate recognition system (LPR) plays a vital role in intelligent transport systems to build up smart environments. Numerous country specific methods have been proposed successfully for an LPR system, but there is a need to find a generalized ...

The Role of “Adult‐Onset” Cancer Predisposition Genes in Pediatric Cancer: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Current literature estimates that 10% of pediatric cancers are caused by pathogenic or likely pathogenic (P/LP) germline variants in cancer predisposition genes (CPGs). Variants in CPGs thought to increase cancer risk exclusively during adulthood are referred to as “adult‐onset” CPGs (aoCPGs).
