Fracture evolution of a thick soft protection layer and the water inrush mechanism in overburden under longwall mining

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Through shear–tensile creep tests and viscoelastic modeling, the fracture evolution of thick soft protective layers is clarified. Results show thickness‐dependent rheological failure modes that govern four types of roof water inrush, providing a mechanism‐based framework for hazard prediction and control. Abstract In the Jurassic coal‐bearing strata of

A layered elastic analytical method for predicting peripheral surface deformation of deep foundation pits with multi-layer complex lithology

open access: yesGeomechanics and Geophysics for Geo-Energy and Geo-Resources
Excavation of deep foundation pits in open-pit mines with multi-layered complex lithology is prone to cause deformation of the surrounding surface, posing a threat to the safety of adjacent rigid structures.

Numerical Simulation of Soil Displacement and Settlement in Deep Foundation Pit Excavations Near Water

open access: yes, 2021
Advancing urbanization in China requires large-scale high-rise construction and underground transportation projects. Consequently, there is an increasing number of deep foundation pits adjacent to water bodies, and accidents occur frequently.

Research progress and current status of dynamic wave propagation characteristics in rock mass: A review

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This review elucidates the velocity–dispersion–attenuation coupling mechanisms of wave propagation in rock masses, compares six representative models, and reveals how pressure, temperature, mineral composition, and anisotropy jointly control dynamic responses in complex geological media.

Mechanism and disaster control new technology of strong ground pressure manifestation in ultra‐large mining face

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
In response to the problem of strong mining pressure manifestation along the goaf roadway in a thick coal seam mining area, this study uses a new type of combined blasting roof cutting technology to effectively control the manifestation and deformation of mining pressure along the goaf roadway.

Response Analysis of Excavation of Deep Foundation Pit in Metro Station of Soft Soil

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2019
Abstract Based on a deep foundation pit engineering of subway station in Ningbo soft soil area, the whole process of excavation of deep foundation pit engineering is carried out by PLAXIS finite element software and comparative analysis with field monitoring data based on HS soil hardening model. The analytical results indicates that the

Dynamic geo‐hydrogeological monitoring‐driven situational awareness for real‐time floor water inrush risk prediction in deep mining

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
The fused data extracted from the distributed monitoring system as the data basis, combined with dynamic geological data, are imported into a deep learning model. As the geological conditions of mining and excavation change, the risk of water inrush at the working face is retrieved in real time.
