Students' Deep and Surface Approach: Links to Interaction in Learning Environments
This paper presents the initial results of a study where we embrace and test Entwistle's theory in order to explain the students’ interaction when using interactive learning environments (ILEs) in real conditions.

ABSTRACT Background Latino children are projected to make up nearly one‐third of United States (US) children by 2060, and many of their caregivers speak Spanish. Prior survey research has documented communication difficulties for Spanish‐speaking caregivers of children with cancer, but contemporary qualitative data are limited.

A deep learning approach to machine transliteration [PDF]
In this paper we present a novel transliteration technique which is based on deep belief networks. Common approaches use finite state machines or other methods similar to conventional machine translation. Instead of using conventional NLP techniques, the approach presented here builds on deep belief networks, a technique which was shown to work well ...

ABSTRACT Febrile neutropenia (FN) is a frequent and serious complication in children receiving cancer therapy. Standardizing FN management across Asia is challenging due to variable healthcare infrastructure, diagnostic capacity, and infection patterns; however, it could improve resource use and patient outcomes.

A deep learning approach to program similarity
In this work we tackle the problem of binary code similarity by using deep learning applied to binary code visualization techniques. Our idea is to represent binaries as images and then to investigate whether it is possible to recognize similar binaries by applying deep learning algorithms for image classification.
