Natural Variation of NAR5 Determines Nitrogenase Activity and the Yield in Soybean

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identified NAR5, a gene encoding a subtilisin‐like protease, that regulates nitrogenase activity in soybean nodules. Overexpressing NAR5 delayed nodule senescence, enhancing nitrogenase activity, yield, and low‐nitrogen tolerance. The elite haplotype NAR5HapI‐1 linked to superior nitrogenase activity and greater seed weight has been ...

The Layout of the Combustion Cavity and the Fracture Evolution of the Overlying Rock during the Process of Underground Coal Gasification

open access: yesGeofluids, 2022
Based on the thermodynamic and elastodynamic theories, the controlling equation of temperature-stress coupling action on rocks containing random damage units is established by combining the Mogi-Coulomb damage criterion.

Tyrosinase Driven‐Intracellular Polymerization of a Porphyrin Derivative Induced Immunogenic Death of Melanoma Cells and Strengthened Photodynamic Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uses tyrosinase, which is highly expressed in melanoma, to drive porphyrins to polymerize and self‐assemble within tumor cells to form retented microstructures. This process induces immunogenic death and activates immune responses (M1 macrophages, dendritic cells, CD8+T cells), turning “cold” tumors into “hot” tumors.

Seismic Behavior of Qinghai-Tibetan Railway Embankment in Permafrost Regions: A Case Study

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2023
The temperature is a critical factor that determines the unfrozen water content and ice content in the frozen soil. In view of mechanical properties of the frozen soil depend on the volume of components of the four-phase systems, thus the temperature has
