Ultra-wideband hexagonal MIMO antenna with Defected Ground Structure (DGS)
2015 13th International Conference on Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility (INCEMIC), 2015In this paper, a compact planar Multiple Input Multiple Output antenna system of size 36 mm × 40 mm with two hexagonal monopole elements with L shaped slots is proposed. The UWB operation is achieved by a semicircular shaped Defected Ground Structure (DGS) and the shape of the DGS is optimized to get good return loss.

Microstrip bandstop filter using spurline and defected ground structures(DGS)
Proceedings of 2011 Cross Strait Quad-Regional Radio Science and Wireless Technology Conference, 2011Microstrip filters are widely used in microwave circuit, This paper briefly describes the design principle of microstrip bandstop filter (BSF). A compact wide band high rejection BSF is presented. This filter consists of two parts: defected ground structures filter (DGS) and spurline filter. Due to the inherently compact characteristics of the spurline

New Coplanar Low-Pass Defected Ground Structure (DGS) Filter
2010This chapter presents the design of a new compact low-pass defected ground structure filter (DGS LPF). The proposed structure is based on coplanar waveguide (CPW) lines and λ/4 resonators. The filter provides three transmission zeros within the stop-band and offers bandwidth of 8.3 GHz, namely from 3.1 to 11.4 GHz. The stop-band rejection is more than −

Microstrip Antenna with Defected Ground Structure (DGS) for Multiband Operation
2016In this paper, a microstrip feeding rectangular MPA using DGS structure into ground plane is presented. In the absence of a slot, a conventional rectangular MPA is also considered for confirming the validity of designed antenna. This conventional antenna design was found to resonate on 7.0611 GHz frequency at −23.70 dB return loss. When introducing the

Coplanar waveguide (CPW) defected ground structure (DGS) for bandpass filter application
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2004AbstractIn this paper, we design and implement a coplanar waveguide (CPW) bandpass filter utilizing defected ground structure (DGS) technology. The CPW DGS technology, which only needs one or a series connection of a few cells to exhibit the bandgap characteristics, can provide the attenuation poles in the upper and lower bands to improve the rolloff ...

A Novel Defected Ground Structure (DGS) Resonator for Bandpass Filters Applications
2007 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, 2007This paper introduces new compact bandpass filter using novel defected ground structure. Different coupling configurations and external coupling have been considered here. Different types of feeding arrangement show the different responses of the bandpass filter. Several second and third order bandpass filters have been designed.

Analysis and realization of defected ground structure (DGS) on bandpass filter
2014 5th International Conference on Intelligent and Advanced Systems (ICIAS), 2014An end-coupled line bandpass filter (BPF) is proposed and designed by placing defected ground structure (DGS) in the ground plane. DGS is used for its property of miniaturizing the size of microwave filter and also improving the mutual coupling between the resonators.

An ultra broadband antenna (UWB) loaded with defected ground structure (DGS)
2011 International Conference on Electronics, Communications and Control (ICECC), 2011In this letter, an ultra broadband antenna (UWB) loaded with defected ground structure (DGS) is presented. The UWB antenna with circle radiation patch is fed with 50Ohm mictostrip line. The DGS structure is introduced to the ground under the feed line and hence the frequency selectivity is also introduced to this UWB antenna.
