This paper introduces new compact bandpass filter using novel defected ground structure. Different coupling configurations and external coupling have been considered here. Different types of feeding arrangement show the different responses of the bandpass filter. Several second and third order bandpass filters have been designed.

This paper introduces new compact defected ground structure (DGS). The equivalent circuit parameters have been extracted using circuit analysis. The proposed DGS has smallest rectangular occupying area and it is 15.3 % more compact than the previously reported structure in the literature.

In this paper, a compact planar Multiple Input Multiple Output antenna system of size 36 mm × 40 mm with two hexagonal monopole elements with L shaped slots is proposed.
